Check the coolant line to the turbo. Tiny leak there will cause a good amount of smoke.

what is the iacv ? I just took it out for a quick drive and it now stalls within 30 seconds of idiling and when I was cruising along 3 seperate times it just loses ALL power and rolls for about 5 seconds then sputters and continues...... what is happening ohh and a lot of smoke comes out of the exhaust when taking off.

Finally congrats, try to get it to idle and wriggle every plug you can see, it might just be a loose connector.

Oh and don't hammer it until you sort it, if your AFM (Air Flow Meter) is shagged you might get the wrong reading an ping ping ping down the road until it no go no more.
