Thanks for the congrats guys, I'm happy that at least it is safe to compete at RW and now I just need to get it to run well

I'm thinking that the ecu has reset due to having no battery while in the cut etc. Powers up and runs ok until it realises that the car has the exhaust so is a lot less restrictive than stock. The V3/4 ecu is self learning so it may have been adjusting itself to suit hence why it stalled etc and has now come good?
I did think that but the problems came back this afternoon and I could barely start it and it sputtered like crazy.....

Just take the car back to Fats and I'm sure he will rectify any faults there may be. Don't make things worse by adjusting anything or letting anyone else play with it.
Damn I thought you would love to work on the masterpiece that is my car
But yeah I think I'll let fats deal with it, he already said he would so heres hoping it can be fixed quickly.

Hey, the only reason I said to clean the AFM was because it's a long way from Thornlie to Wangarra, I was quite sternly warned by Wisbey "not" to drive mine with a shagged AFM, $25 for a can of spray is pretty good insurance and not really messing with the motor.

Yes, I'll have to grab some of the cleaner from dick smith tomorrow morning, I wanted to try and avoid having to drive back to wangara because of the freeways so if I clean it hopefully it will make the journey without doing any further damage and thanks for all the advice Tom

No prob, here's an old pic of mine and this is what you need to give a squirt, you'll see a filament in the oval-ish hole in the metal tube that's sticking up, pretty sensitive little bugger so under no circumstances do you touch it with anything but Contact or AFM cleaner.

No need to take it off the car completely and it can be cleaned from either side, either un-clip the air box and lift it up or undo the hose clamp off the springy hose on the other end and push it to one side (I find this quickest) and no guarantee this will fix it but a pretty good chance it's the problem.

In the end Cat it's a power to weight ratio question - I have the weight
