No not yet but I suspect it is running a little bit rich, It was recommended to run it in off boost and do a couple of oil changes first.

Farkin it won't blow up if its driven like a nanna on gc stock ecu.
It'll be fine for a run in.

Hope it works out for you this time.

Photos taken just near our place. Cars are always in the way when I dirve down there but can see why.

Seriously guys it's a standard sti motor that has been rebuilt with an exhaust, and everything else is STOCK, I'm taking advice from people who build and tune engines for a living and I have been told it is fine to run it in and the Stock ecu on gc8's will adjust to any slight changes.

I'm not going to whack a new ecu on it and get it tuned with a newly rebuilt motor, it has to be run in and while I'm running it in I will drive like a nanna.
It also won't ping it's head of because it has a lower than average compression ratio. I'll get all the parts soon that I want to upgrade and then buy a new ecu and get it tuned when things are upgraded.

EDIT: the only reason the engine went dok before is because as everyone kept telling me is that it was a flogged jap halfcut which was on it's way out and taking it to the motorplex didn't help.
