Only issue I have ever had is it breaking up the shit already sitting in the tank and lines and getting through to an injector.

Ethanol sold in Aus by law must contain a corrosion inhibitor. Non ethanol resistant rubber lines can deteriorate.

As ethanol content decrease, car would run richer, so wont damage engine, am I right?

Depends, do you have a ethanol sensor to detect content?

Sorry to hijack your thread Craig, Keen to hear how you went on weekend with all the upgrades....

Mod's it may be an idea to start an E85 topic thread as i know many are considering the change?

The other argument I am aware of it the properties of E85 that draw in moisture.

A good mate of mine is currently stripping an 05 STI and has had to replace heads due to corrosion and actual visible rust on valves etc apparently..

I also believe Ben Searcy blames E85 on his 2 munched evo 9 motors...
Sating all that, heaps are running it perceived to be with no major issues..

I am at a lost, trusted mechanic saying it's not worth it..
Want for more power says yes....

So we are 2 race meets into the season and I am about middle of the pack. Have learnt heaps in race conditions which isn't ideal.

I am consistently doing 65 second laps in race pace with a 64.7 once... There is so much to still learn and will be hiring the tracks for a few hours after the V8's to get my head into it...

In passing though, A050's are a different beast to Z221's.... the lateral grip and confidence you have in them is ridiculous.

Getting at least 3 race meets out of a set aswell so overall about the same money spent compared to hankooks...

How are the Girodisc front rotors you are running? Would they be suitable for street use or are they the noisy floating/two piece type of set up?

I may have to replace my dba's as I think there is a crack starting in one of them and I have noticed the price of dba stuff has skyrocketed just recently.

Cheers

Honestly. They are absolutely freaking awesome. I'm getting pad knock off at the track but they aren't noisey as such. The pad selection would obviously change the noise etc.

I have done 2 race days and the pads look new as well as the rotors....

For the price they are amazing

So no clunking and clicking at lower speeds like some floating designs? Sorry I should have been more specific with the question.

Vision-R have them at a reasonable price at the moment. Is that where you got yours?
