I would advise against running a neck restraint with only a 4 point harness. Due to not having a downward strap when you are in a impact it isn't held in place like it is designed to. I would go have a chat to Ivan at go gear if you want to get more details.

Yeah I forgot about that. I spoke to Ivan a while ago, he told me the way to go is a six point as the fours are not compatible with the hans.

My bad.

Is there any way to run a hans with a six point harness without using the crotch straps or are the crotch straps the critical factor?

I am not keen on using a harness with no hans.

Really? Hans and 4 point is better than no Hans and 4 point!

I was actually thinking about this too Craig. I already have a fair bit of rooting around prepping for race day with stripping the car down, changing tyres and brake pads, fluids etc.....

Will be speaking with Ivan today hopefully and get a better idea of options.

Cheers.

not that much hassle to change seat. put the mounting points in and keel them there. Its 4 bolts and a airbag sensor plug (keep battery isolated whilst doing) for when you want to do it.. hardly taxing..
