Gordon yeah that's a good idea...only problem is that once it fills up I can't empty it on the spot, you think it is that a problem letting the oil get back in a bit...
By this I mean - you think it is more of a problem letting oil from a catch can go back in, compared to just the breather letting oil in the intake if I was to plumb it back to normal for that day?

I dont like catch can to vent back to intake, oil vapour can still slip pass catch can. Put a breather on the can and u will never have any issue.

If u r worried about yellow sticker, I have a solution:

Get a check valve(red) for a air compressor, and hook it up to drain nipple of the can with a fuel line. When u need to empty the can, connect the line with a hand pump (orange), open the valve and suck the oil out.

Surely your 2.5 doesn't blow that much oil! It will be fine for a track night. Crap design btw. Might aswell use a thimble.

That's exactly what the drain kit I'm waiting on is like, but made by Mishimoto themselves for a perfect fit...too late for me to try make one up myself now, won't make it to shops in time in the week with work

Someone got me worried saying that apparently at barbs it will chuck bulk oil into the head breathers on the long corners and being a compact can it would fill up in couple of runs, truth or just bs?

Its a contest between RJ9999.9 and S20525xxxxxx on who can talk the most shit. I'm not sure who is in the lead. Public Poll required?

I am not sure mate. Are you able to see the cans with a torch or something? Just check it during the night. I highly doubt you will fill it up. Must be at least 200ml capacity right?

Did you even look at the specs before you bought it?

seriously... there is a whole thread on this.

Barbagallo Raceway is a series of right hand turns with ones left hand turn...

Inertia, Gravity or force, whatever you want to call it, will push the oil that is "blow by" to the left head. Your breather on your left has little or no resistance so will go to your catch can. Hence why I say to put you catch can on the right hand side of the cars in WA.

Once again, if your car is in good condition and doesn't haven't fucked rings, you will get minimal blow by. I do 10 laps at around 65 seconds per lap and maybe get a tablespoon or two... If you are filling a catch can, do not keep driving it at barbs as you will dok your motor...

Realistically, your car would've been fine without a catch can system for the 2 hot laps your going to do...

Russ can capacity are 2fl oz which is 60ml.. but that's to the baffle, there's double that past the baffle plate inside, that's why I have two separate on breathers and pcv.

Mishimoto says "After installation, Mishimoto recommends checking the contents of the baffled catch can every 1,000 miles until a baseline is established. Oil blow-by accumulation will vary with ambient temperatures and driving conditions. It is important that the contents of the can do not rise above the internal baffle."
