And good two piece rotors are relatively cheap now compared to fixed...

Go the GiroDisc 2 piece... you wont be disappointed. Mind you, I have had to learn how to left foot brake pump whilst going down the straight at Barbs... really fun thing to learn about brake knock off!

Curious as to why the 2 piece rotors require you to pump the brakes before they work?

they do as they are floating hats... so they have a tendency around corners to have knock off... more so than single piece rotors

I haven't heard of people having knock off issues with dba5000 two piece rotors hmmmm...

+1 for winmax pads, I run the W3's in the rear of my betty at the track. They have good bite and it feels easier to get the car to trail break compared to my previous track pads QFM A1RM's.

The W3's are too hard for street use though, they will de-glaze your rotors and howl like motherfuckers. I run Pagid-29 yellows up front for track, they are a very good track pad if you don't mind spending a bit of coin for right result.

The dba5000 are not a true 2 piece floating. They are just a hatted fixed rotor essentially, which just gives the benefit of less unsprung weight, and less heat being put through the front bearings.

The difference explained:
