Brembos arrived yesterday but they were not quite in the condition I expected. Quite appalling actually.

If you can't see from the pictures, it looks like there was brake fluid left to float around in the package which has bubbled and stripped the paint in some places. The dust covers look a little far gone too.

I have ordered a seal rebuild kit from the US (half the price of local Subaru) and will give them a fresh paint job. A little setback, but no big deal.

The only worry was that they wouldn't fit under my wheels, but a test fit has confirmed they will. Will post up more once I start rebuilding the calipers.

Just a small update. Some that had seen the car in person at racewars etc would have noted the pretty horrific mismatching boot panel. Finally have that fixed up with the back end looking a bit tidier now.

Before

After

Brembo rebuild/paint happening soon, have been a little slack.

I'm going to attempt to do it myself actually, will see how it turns out.

I picked my seals up from Matt @ AutoPro Canningvale last week. I'll be taking them to Owen @ Meltham for painting then I'll probably just get STechnic to do the new seals when they install it all.

I've managed to dismantle them and strip the paint back so it's just new paint and seals time now. If I get the pistons and seals out I'm sure I can get the new ones in, will throw pics up along the way. I prefer to do my own work where I can, just good learning experience.
