No wonder I can't get a 12. My parents are Hungarian, it all makes sense now.

seagull - what are the elements of risk running an email "base tune"? Is it possible to do damage running a first tune that isn't quite right for whatever reason(s)? What sets Graham at Boosted Performance apart from Throttle Happy or even Eric at Torqued Performance in the US? Two tune suppliers that have been utilised here, both with catastrophic results.

I personally would love to be able to tune my own car, but not keen on wiping out my license trying to find a private runway for that 4th gear tune/logging

Would have thought it be the same procedure as a dyno tune except you are doing to pulls and logging yourself. First run is a base setting that they work from and depending on the tuners talent or lack there off determines wether any damage is done.

That's not racism, its an observation. Go back to 2003 with your political correctness.

I got an email tune. It ended with a melted piston and tears. Email tunes can be done, and done well. But they are also a higher risk.

I dont mean any offense to Seagull, but isnt it a little bit of a conflict of interest you promoting email tunes? Dont you build engines? Good for buisness no?

Check out he con-rod small end. That silver stuff is liquified molten piston, that has sprayed out of the hole and solidified around the rod.

At worst you could say I was stereotyping from observation and anecdotal evidence. Learn the difference between the two before letting your inner moral guardian sound off.

I have read and seen quite a number of Asian drivers struggle to get good launches with their cars, thus leading to sub-par 1/4 mile times. Whether this is "stereotypical shit Asian driver syndrome" (which is the angle you're assuming I took), or a lack of confidence, coordination, whatever, who knows. Again, OBSERVATION.

tl;dr - fuck off.

ps. Africans are the worst drivers I have witnessed
pps. Sorry munya

Aren't people only just getting into 4th gear (5spd) when crossing the line though?

Negative. Ask JRecardo. 3rd gear nets you around 145km/hr in the 5sp. But you are probably right there might not be enough room for a proper 4th gear pull at the plex.
