4th gear is nearly finished for me by the finish line, I could easily finish winding it out after the finish line and still slow down safely. Not sure if track officials would see the fun in that though.

It was also probably a very different story when I only had 200whp, but I can't remember what my trap speeds were that far back.

Cheers Jack. For some reason it was stuck in my mind that people where shifting 3rd-4th (which seemed odd given speeds) instead of 4th-5th. Oops.

See, if I was Asian and good at maths I would have realis... ohhhhh, Hi SolarFilms!

I agree. in fact i've contemplated using Eric at TP in the past, he seems to know his shit and his customers are happy. I haven't heard of any cars he's tuned pop, but I don't trick myself into thinking it would never happen. In the same way that it's possible for any tuned car to have problems for whatever reason. Whether it's down to the tuner or not depends on the specific set of circumstances in which the engine damage occurred.

anyway, the way I understand it, the tuner sends you a base tune which is *very* conservative. i.e. rich, low timing, low boost etc. Then you log the results of a WOT pull and the tuner then has a set of variables unique to your car from which to work with. No different to a local tuner doing the same thing on a dyno I imagine.

Rossco or someone else can correct me if I'm wrong but rich isn't always safe. I'm fairly sure you can still run into problems with a rich tune.

seagull's suggestion about a forum/thread would be good. Maybe a diligent mod can later pull the current discussion/posts and move them over to a new home?

Wasn't going to respond however where its a stereo type, an observation or anything else I just dont think its correct to post on a thread that could already be considered a public stoning to add additional comments on a race that individual is...

We can all do a group buy on a Syvecs and a Bluetooth dongle for it. Live Remote mapping via a laptop with 3/4G and a remote desktop session. Makes some of the best tuners in the world available then

Joking aside it will probably be what I end up doing if I can't get someone to start tuning them here.

Perhaps you don't know this forum particularly well then? Many of the members know many others of the members personally, and have the rapport to make statements without ill feeling.

That and Trolley is a jerk, always has been.

PS; Many hearts Trolley.
