I wanted to say this about cams but given my track record of getting sledged for having an opinion that's against the grain I couldn't be bothered. But your absolutely spot on.

I ran untouched 2006 Wrx heads and cams in my GC8 which made around 520whp. Beyond that it choked and needed cams. I just don't see the point why people go for cams if they are not chasing those kinds of numbers. They really are not needed until those kind of figures are reached.
