I love your shift lights. Do they ever get annoying for daily driving?

I wouldnt know. I dont daily drive.... But the shift light is fully customizeable. I have its first light start at around 3k or 3.5k rpm, so you can pretty much drive everywhere without actually even seeing the light. When i do drive on the street, i actually use the first light as my shift light. And when i drive on the track i use the flash function as my shift light. It works great. I highly recommend it. |
Are you trying to power out in second gear?
The first one i was deliberately trying to feather the throttle. But i let off a bit too much at the end of the turn and it bogged down hard. Reason being if i mash it, the car wants to slide real wide, and its not actually a very fast way around the corner. (But does look awesome) But if i can keep it tight and NOT let it bog out of the hole then i think it would be a pretty quick way around the cone. The second one was just co-ordination failure. I didnt carry enough speed into it, or turned in a bit too early, Then missed gear after i borked up. Just all round derp derp moment. |
Un-fuking-believable!!!! Just weighed a brand new 295/30r18 Yoko A050 fitted to a Volk Racing ZE40 18x10, and compared it with the Drift 6 / Z221 combo when new. Guess what? The 295s wiegh LESS than than the 235. (Just) WTF? I was expecting to take a bit of a wieght penalty, not actually save wieght when going up to that size. Bonus.

Those wheels are just porn!

Fake utube scales ftw.
Sell me those wheels, tyres and carbon shaft bro. Maybe the flares too. |
Scales are legit. I use them for AC and they go down to 10g increments, and its always accurate. I know because i can weigh the AC gas bottle after ive finished a job. Then when i go to do the next AC job, the bottle wieghs the exact same. And an empty bottle always wieghs spot on for its tare wieght. So i know the scales are accurate AND consistent.
I still cant believe that a 295/30/18 Yoko wighs less than a 235/45/17 hankook though. The 295 is a smaller diameter, but surely the extra 50mm would push it. It must be something to do with the construction of a yoko vs a hankook? Maybe there is more tread thickness in the hankooks? |
