Exhaust
Hey guys, I am looking at buying a 3" tbe for a 05 WRX, is it a must to get a tune? Or can I a bolt it on with no worries? I am getting a lot of mixed opinions on sites and forums would like to know the what you all think.

If you want performance gains from your exhaust, get a turbo back and get it tuned.
If you just want noise/rumble, but a cat-back and don't worry about a tune.

With a turbo back and no tune you may occasionally get a check engine light come up. Code P0420 which is cat below efficiency threshold. Can be cleared with scan gauge. But better off with a tune

Save for the tune. The general consensus is that it's way more worth it than just getting a rumble.
