MARCH2019 - Finally found a splash guard for the car. It was a real chore due to the 7 not sharing designs with the 8/9 version. Only paid $20 for this and then proceeded to spend $22 on all the necessary retainer clips. Not only does it keep the engine bay a little cleaner it also somehow reduced some of the wind noise, I guess directing air under the car and not allowing it up into the engine bay(?).

APRIL2019 - This is hopefully the last suspension adjustment I will make. The front end didn't have enough travel, so after a quick tinker I know have ~55mm of front droop and ~60mm in there rear. Now I can run the coilovers on the softest setting and no more bump stops, although I usually run it on 14/21 front and 11/21 rear which is firm but comfortable. With all the changes over the past few months I will probably need a touch-up alignment by JF-Autosports but that can wait until I get the new wheels on the car.

Finally got the Enkei RP03's back from Aeroplate and as usually Anthony did a smashing job. Nice gunmetal powdercoat with a metallic flake that looks great next tothe white paint! My metal valve stems also arrived so now they are ready for a new set of tyres.

nick73 and JRecardo like this.

Finally got 255/40R17 tyres on the rims! Heard some good reviews of the NS2R, plus the price is hard to pass on so will be interesting to see how they are.

Enkei RP03 17x8.5 +30 & Nankang NS2R 255/40R17

No rubbing (yet) but probably worth a visit to AutoFX for a little insurance.

Looks good Dan. I doubt they will scrub. Famous last words. Keen to hear your thoughts on the nangnangs.
What other true semi's have you used?

Wouldn't throw the NS2R into a semi-slick category, that would be a Nankang AR1. With a 180 tread wear they closer to an AD08R, R1R or RS3.

First impressions are good:
- not nearly as loud as my Kumho KU36's, but louder then RE003's.
- the turn-in is crispy because the sidewalls are very rigid, and ride quality is still decent.

Will try and do a hills run this week to see what they are like with a little spirited driving.

Roger that I misread their labels on the website.

It sure looks semi-slick but even in the 120TW rating the are not a true semi-slick, they would be a good weekend / part time track tyre. The Nankang AR1 is super slick.
