So was having a pretty average day, then the door bell rings and my day got a whole lot better

I threw the boss kit on and grabbed a ruler and figured it will sit about 10mm closer to me and the overall diameter is 11mm smaller then stock (Personal is 350mm)

that's a super tidy looking wheel. I wouldn't mind replacing mine at some point

It is awesome and super grippy with the suede. The size is perfect too, glad i didn't opt for the 330mm wheel.

Threw the wheel on today, had a small issue with the resistor not clearing the dash light but once that was sorted a quick spin around the block to make sure it is all on straight and no other dash lights (ABS or AYC faults in relation to the clockspring)

Gave it a quick clean and it is still as good as the day I painted it all.

Had an issue with car not idling normally, usually between 800 - 1200 but was actually idling between 1500 - 1900 which made my neighbours happy so dropped into TMS who had the issue sorted within minutes and a new accessory belt threaded on in another 10 minutes. So now it idles good and doesn't squeak.

So it's been over a month since I changed something on the car, the latest thing being the windscreen which decided to crack half way across the width when it was smashed by a rock. While the trim was off I have it all a new coat of black.

The dash trim that goes across the car (above the stereo and glove box) and the trim on the other side of the cluster (ACD and mirror control surround) is starting to show its age with some wear in the usual areas like around the vents, mirror controls where 15 years of touching and fiddling have left their marks. Same goes for the trim around the shifter and ash tray.

I weighed up hyrdo-dipping, painting or wrapping and I decided that a decent 3M wrap would be a good interim solution so jumped on some 3M Air Egress wrap and now have to work up the courage to pull the trim out. I have practiced with a small section of old dash trim from my Forester and was able to lay the wrap fairly well and keep the weave straight and not distort the appearance.

The engine bay came up great with the paint / decrease / clean but the fittings were still pretty shabby and most were beyond restoring. So purchased a dress up kit that replaces majority of the visible bolts, nuts and washers. This particular one uses stainless fittings with machined heads and anodized washers.

This should tide me over until Feb / March when it will be due for a service and I will hopefully stop procrastinating long enough to put an E9 turbo on the car.

So the dash came out great with only a small blemish that is hardly noticeable, so put that job in the win column. Only the shifter surround left to do, but that is for tomorrow.

The exhaust manifold shield also got a do-over. Taken back to bare metal before a few coats of Duplicolor Flame Proof header paint. Hopefully that does the trick.

So interior all done and back together. Will get a picture when there is some decent light and all my grotty mit marks are cleaned off.

I also picked up a new heat shield and coil pack cover from Jack so today was a winner.
