Had a bit of time Tuesday evening so I took advantage of the light and cracked on with the install of the new leather boots. The gear boot was very straightforward, quality and fit is amazing!

The old and the new:

New one installed:

Back in the car:

Handbrake boot is a little more fiddly. The original one is glued so I need to clean the old glue off and get some to stick the new one on. Also, the new boot is slightly larger so it looks like I'll need to trim some material, otherwise it won't seat itself properly back to the console. I have it sitting in car for now and it looks great, have time off over xmas so will crack on with it then!

So even though I had time off with 2 young spawn there wasn't much "free time". Rather than fuck around and get pissed off with the handbrake boot I took it too the local cobbler. 15 minutes later and he had it done to perfection!!

So much better!

Not much happening here at the moment! The brother in law picked up his wheels a couple weeks ago so we got some shots taken by the awesome Jan Glovac. He's snapped the bike and now the car and always does such a fantastic job!
