Just another rule by some government muppet trying to cling on to his 100k a year holiday desk job.

The 100mm rule has always been a good way to go.

either way, my car was a limited edition one from japan, and comes 10cm lower then a stock aussie version.

What difference does it make anyway?

I always thought it was "illegal" to go too low, and if your car isn't excessively low, then the cops won't even look twice at you. If it is excessively low, approval or no approval, you're going to have a yellow sticker on your hands.

Won't change anything.

How exactly are they going to know what the ride height is as standard?? and where is it measured from?
An Sti is a different ride height to a cooking model wrx which is different to a GX etc

whats wrong with seeking approval?

done properly i think its a great idea,

its the fucking morons on cut springs and 12" lifted patrols who they are targetting.
