I hate when people come to work ill. Its just plain rude and causes more problems with having multiple people off ill or that person getting even sicker than it would if they had just taken a day off at the start.

One thing worse than that. We had a guy who would have ~every second Monday off 'sick' because he used to drink too much piss, but then when he was actually sick, he'd front up coughing all over the place so he could save the 'sickies' for fishing etc. Then sprout on about it being "the Australian way mate"

Used to have the same thing with a guy at my last job, but with him he would go bowling every wednesday night. (Pay day) He would get trashed and not turn up for work the next day. After a shit load of warnings for it he finally was told not to return.
