There was more than one k-band signal at that intersection prior to the camera being installed. I'm pretty sure that this camera doesn't use radar.

Yeah i'm pretty sure they use multiple strips under the road, they can judge your speed very easily by the time it takes you to get between them. Best thing to do to avoid accidents/fines is avoid all red light camera intersections from now on, or whenever the law passes :P

Yeah that's fine until someone else causes an accident from either not concentrating on the road because they're watching their speedo or slam the brakes to avoid getting a red light fine and/or speeding fine

Dunno... They look similar to the old red light cameras but much more modern. Easy to distinguish from the old ones

They are pretty easy to spot if they are the same ones that they are using in Adelaide. Really no excuse for getting done by a fixed camera. Can happen but it is just lack of attention if you do get pinged.

I do not have an issue with red light Camera's as such with how late some tossers go through but the old man saw a stack of accidents on West Tce ( Adelaide CBD ) when they started putting the speed/red light combined ones in.

Hate to pic an accident to have but I think I would prefer to be rear ended than taken out from the side. Be nice if spankers just learnt how to drive though.

I think these cameras are very good - should stop the idiots trying to beat the red light - T-bone crashes are deadly and far, far worst than rear enders.

I don't know about everyone else, but I definitely seen more red light runners in the last 6 months than I can remember running red lights two years ago.

True, but when people slam on the breaks when they could have safely passed it makes driving a whole lot more dangerous.

Thanks for the information on this guys, I dont frequent that area much and after this thread I will be avoiding it at all costs.
