Basics of maintaining a car are to check tyre pressures, oil and water levels at a regular interval, such as each time you fill up with petrol. I hope you check more often from now on

Fark doesn't sound good at all.

I always make it a point of checking the oil every time I go to use mine, no harm in being pedantic when it could save you thousands for less than 3 mins work.

Hope it turns out to be all good but you seriously need to get it to a workshop quick smart for a comp test etc, flat bed it for extra caution!

Not the sensor, the pickup tube.
The sensor is a pressure sensor, not a level sensor as a lot of people think it is. What that means is that the oil level has got so low that the oil pump has sucked up enough air that the oil pressure has dropped to almost zero.

The oil in the sump is a reservior, the pump draws the oil up, then pushes it through a filter and through a series of drillings in the engine that go to the vitals. There is usually enough oil to cause a pressure against the restrictions in those vital components. It then drips back to the sump via gravity.

It's not uncommon for 2.5's to consume oil, definately check the level before and after a good thrashing. I would be getting some oil into yours before driving it any further.

FUCKING TELSTRA!!

I moved out of a rental on the 20/8, cancelled my phone on 26/8, yet have been receiving bills for line rental every month since!!

My final bill with actual call charges was in Sept, but had 3 bills just for line rental which I've called them about every month for the last 3 months and every time they credit that bill, "make a note on the system" and tell me I won't receive another bill.... Just got another today!!!

Fucking useless! I just take solace in the fact I'm a shareholder so I profit from their uselessness

Yeah Telstra is a bit like that...tell them next time to change the address to their complaints department & lodge a complaint with them.

The fire alarm going off at work for the next 2 hours whilst some dude checks every speaker.

Nothing like it after a hard night on the piss.

Another car park arsehole leaving paint on the Liberty when they opened their door onto my car.

Thankfully it buffed out.
