It appears to be almost non existent in Perth. Recenly I had to buy various bits and pieces for a Hilux turbo conversion and went to about five or six different places to get all the things I needed. Out of all of them only one place (Turbotech in Redcliffe) offered satisfactory service. In fact they offered exceptional service, the chap went out of his way to find exactly what I was after even though it was only a $60 part. In contrast the rest of them couldn't even be bothered giving me a decent respose, shrugged shoulders and grunting instead. Rude, narrowminded sales assistants cost companies a lot more than the immediate sale, they cost the repeat business that could have been worth thousands.

Well in Tassie - no one and I mean no-one has any idea of how to use a round about. When I came over here ( from WA) I had to get a Road Rules book to check wtf people should be doing - and surprise surprise noone is doing what they should be.

Aside from the fact that they do not indicate ( see second gripe) at the correct points, most drivers do not give way to the right and be lucky to even look to the right. I drive with my lights on in the day, doing 50 kph and I can still get people pull out in front of me without looking...

Indicators, people here do not use them...its rare if you see them.

Fog, rain, overcast, waining light and no lights on cars..../me no understnado. Trust me see - a car "appear" out of fog is shit scary.

4WDs that think they can do a corner like an STI ( that is doing it slowly becuase its wet) and proceed to fishtail and hit a tree and a brick wall - wtf was he thinking he could keep up....

Understanding of braking distances on the highway. So its 110kkph here, with bad ass log trucks everywhere - so why do people speed past a log truck and then pull in front and leave 20 meters braking distance for the truck.

Then the usual things - 40kph in a 50 kph zone, people pull out in front of you - when there is no traffic for miles behind you..

Ah...feels good.

But some of the best god damn roads to drive along just 10 mins out of town....woot

+1 Seems the neglection of indicator use is proportional to the factory value of the car and w*nk rating of the driver.

Drivers who have an insensible urge to cut into your lane JUST to get ahead of you even though there is 1) Barely a car's length ahead (i.e. a busy lane) and 2) There is miles of space behind (and yes you are at same speed with the rest of traffic).

rofl. I wouldn't even call it average. I remember there was a chef that was forbidden from cooking dinners because he had that many complaints.
