Being spoken to by a Sea Rescue Officer for jet-skiing in an 8 knot zone and apparently a jetski exclusion zone down south. (need to be 300m offshore) Meanwhile 20+ other jet skis, ski boats belting and towing etc in the same area.
But I must say he was totally cool about it and said he was just warning us because it's a $600.00 fine and the water police were everywhere.
What shits me is not everyone gets a warning. We were lucky. Then a dude got fined $400.00 by ranger for having his car literally metres away from the allocated beach launching zone area while retrieving.
Do the fines justify the crime? (Compared to slap of the wrist some career/serious criminals get?)
Just warn us before the fine please as there are so many new rules it's hard to keep up.
