Update:

Received a call from 'Demon Detailings', insurance broker requesting a 'Letter of Demand', funny thing is my father with his 40 years of being a self employed panel beater has never heard of this request.

I've come to the conclusion that they are trying to get something in writting from me to try and deny the claim, so I am going to get the Lifestyle Consultant from work 'also a fellow CA', to look over it and then get it proofed by a lawyer.

Has anyone ever had this request? I have requested a 'Pro Forma', letter from the insurance broker but he hasnt returned my call yet

Hoping to get this wraped up by the end of the week. Can anyone recommend a quality installer of alarms to go get a quote from?

I was thinking of either going to A1 Car Audio, or Alberts Morley (need someone whom can do on site installation, I might be pushing it here but an onsite quote would also be a god send).

Cheers

Photo copy all your reciepts, compile your evidence then get someone who knows how to write letters to make a final demand for payment, try making it as professional as you can. Ive had to do this before when i was sorting out my uninsured that was hit by someone at fault. I got all the money that i asked for, although i did have to wait about 2 months for the cheque in the mail that never came, untill i visited the insurance companys office in the city and was handed a cheque.

Pretty much what I have already tee'ed up. Have a financial consultant doing the first proof then a lawyer looking over it for good measure.

Final Update:

So I received word today that my claim will be honoured for both the cost of supplying and fitting a new alarm system and out of pocket expenses for getting the car started.

The only slight hickup is they havent met all conditions of their insurance so until they do they wont send out the cheque.

Faxing in all my invoices as we speak, signing the condition of release and hoping to get my new alarm system installed not this weekend but the weekend after.

Happy Daze !!!

Good to hear mate! Glad things look to be working out for you. Nice work for taking it this far and pushing for an outcome mate, a lot of others would probably just rant and rave, and move on... I admire your persistance.
