It is illegal for a car dealer in WA to sell an "unroadworthy" vehicle.

That exhaust size is no different from the stock S204 exhaust, I've been

the size!

As Kato said just ring the station and speak to the senior officer, then tell
them about what the issuing officers told you and inform him that's how the
car came from Subaru OZ and it's a stock STi exhaust (even though it isn't)
and it complies with all ADR's otherwise they wouldn't be able to sell the car
in OZ.

Also mention making a formal complaint about the officers as they have no idea on motor vehicle legalities.

Worth a try and that's what id do anyway or cop it sweet and go put a
STi Genome exhaust on which has low noise at idle and roar on wot but
has the Stockish look and STi logo to back it up.

Gday Buddy...

Take it to Oconnor. I was in and out there on a friday morning within 1 - 1.5hrs. (Late last year - 3rd car in line). And I left the majority of things on the car. They were really good there. Hunch the shoulders, 'act sorry', and theyre generally pretty understanding.

Brent.

Yep!

Roll up to the dealership, demand a loan car and let them deal with it.

I got my WRX from a dealer and they made me sign a piece of paper stating that I understand that some of the Mods may not pass a legal inspection. The reason they did this is because someone got busted with illegal tint on a car they sold and by law they were required to fix it. Dont know what law but they had to fix it none the less.

I suspect if your dealer didnt get you to sign anything similar then by all means you can take the car back and they are liable to fix it.

When I was at mazda, we made a guy sign the same thing for Tint.

If she didn't sign a piece of paper stating that the mods might not pass, then don't stress, take it back and tell them to deal with it.

End of story.

is there a new one in ozzy park???

Tonys ringing up the station as hes bloody pissed like i said before the younger one said i dont know much about exhausts my partner is the pro on them. Yet he had to ring for advice and used words like it "looks big" and "sounds loud" and "coke can this coke can that"

Im pissed off at myself cos i didnt know any better at the time and Tony wasnt answering his phone so i just copped it! Live and learn. If i have to still take it over pits and it passes at least itll be a big FU next time im pulled up.
