Yeah i would say twin batteries too.
I ran i a twin battery setup in my old Lancer ( Was doing car audio comps at the time), and to make them charge i ran a rather large relay ( can not for the love of me remember what size it was). I ran a spare accessory wire from the deck to the back, and used that to turn the relay on. had a small sealed battery from a golf cart in the back layed down. Worked a treat, don't think i ever got voltage drop. ran 4g from front to back battery, then 0g from battery to amp. This was only for a 2x200wrms setup ! But, it sounded perfect, and back in '02-03, was one of the few cars down here that ran it.. scored 138.8db off 2 x 10" Clarion Subs.. Box design ( as most installers will tell you) is always a winner. Pete |

another quick question.... I got a Eclipse Titanium 12" Sub (sw9122) i think - I was told that i need 2x 1507 to run it as its a moster of a sub.... is this true or will 1 do? im not after the loudest system but want good sound. then i go back to my first question, if i got only 3 amps then will the capp do or do you think i will still need a second battery.
Thanks for your help |

here is my tip matey..leave it to the pros to install them... if you have any problems and you can go back to the company and let them fix it for ya..no troubles done..all with $$$ does the job....

shouldn't need two amps to power that thing. actually you'd get the same power into it by running it in series by one amp @ 2ohm as you would get running two amps each running one voice coil. Its also a bad idea to run a single sub off two amps unless you know a lot about what you are doing and have a voltmeter (i think thats the name of the tool im thinking of?) to match each amps power with the gains.
750w @ 2 ohm comes pretty cheap these days. shouldnt be hard at all to find an amp for around $300 second hand that could power that sufficiently. i think i sold my last amp that made 900wrms for $250 not to long ago and it was practically brand new. look for something that makes between 750 - 1000 w RMS @ 2 ohm and you'll be laughing. unless you've already got the 1507's - in which case more info on them...
