$4k for 3rd party?

Try calling RAC/HBF also. As you will see in the insurance thread, no one is getting quotes like you.

So what happens, say, if your on a fairly deserted road. Driving along, doing the speed limit as you normally do. Then Mr Rich in his $120,000 Range Rover pulls out in front of you from no where?

No witnesses.

Mr Rich says its your fault, you say its his, hes not giving in because he's a snob and therefore thinks hes always right. Whos problem is it then?

I think 4k is well worth it. Like someone else said if you put your old man or lady as the first driver and you as the second this should also reduce the amount by a fair bit.
Good luck and hope your car gets fixed.

yeah, do the maths mate, you've got 40k cash to spend on a car, yet you can't afford / choose not to pay 3k per year for insurance, you gotta get your priories right mate, how would you like to be out of pocket 40k if your car goes missing/up in flames/ written off, suddenly 3k seems like fuckall yeah?

why don't you get your mum or dad to insure it in there name then add you as a driver, would save you quite alot i suspect

we're all just trying to look out for you as you sound like a dumb kid that hasn't really thought this through, do your parents know you're uninsured? do they care? there's no way i'd let my kids do that (well, when they're old enough to drive, i'm not that old yet )

Doesnt matter how old he is mate. He'd get the same response if he was 30 and uninsured.
