yeah its confusing i often find different graphs that say differnt results lol

going off above graph thats posted before mine id want 6000k but from experience and using them my self i prefer 4300k id even try 5000k.

so im not sure... all i know is i use 4300k and sell 4300k and im happy with them very bright, have put 4300 in all my families cars and they work great.

thats right, the problem with going high kelvin is that although the projection is probably the same distance, the actual viewable objects are reduced.

Its like being in a room with a blue light or a white light, chances are youll see more with the white.

i got 8000k, i'm thinking of going down to a 6000k.

Although i am one of them " uncool " people with them in my non projector headlights. Had them for bout 9 months, i don't mind them, out on the highways which the car is used most they are great for spotting 'roos.

mate if your going to change id go for 4300k or 5000k more white. and you will see more.

I can get you just the globes if need be though id have to see your ballest first

rexhunta 29-08-2008 07:29 PM

eh got no chance of seeing my ballasts, they are inside the front bumper, took it all off to put them somewhere 1/2 safe. I don't think i even took a photo of them. I'll see if i did take one though.

NVRENUF 29-08-2008 07:30 PM

lol

ok well the ballest i sell are water proof can run them in a bucket of water so you can mount them anyway.

rexhunta 29-08-2008 07:36 PM

yeha these where full waterproof, plus i added in a bit more silicon around the joiners. hehe.

Only put them in there in case my magical high hp stock ej18 decides to finally kick it and spray oil everywhere.

NVRENUF 29-08-2008 07:39 PM

haha nice work .. well most hid ballest that i have seen are universal and should work but if you need globes let me know ill sort something out.

My ballasts are going to be mounted on the sheetmetal under the headlight assemblies...theres a good amount of space under there :)

Its got nothing to do with being uncool, its about blinding other road users. You WILL get better performance out of a good halogen bulb in your halogen housing.
