TKO used to have a testing device, might pay to give Trent a call, 0410 585 045.

TKO still have the tester.

FYI the factory privacy glass on my 09 Evo X is darker than 35%. I would guess all privacy glass is around the same (looks it) so something is amiss somewhere.

Maybe a difference between a tint film % and a glass darkness %?

Just a bit of documentation to backup what Giddy is saying

Vehicle Safety Branch Information Bulletin IB-119A - Tinting to be at 35% or more all round.

Vehicle Safety Branch Circular to Industry CI-103A
- Aligning WA standards to the rest of AU, no more than 10% reflective.

If I were you, keep it legal. Dont want to attract cops to your car, especially as you previously mentioned that it has no VIN plates.

Just had my tint done at TKO. Excellent service & a good job at a fair price.

MY08 Liberty has 40% rear windscreen and 19% rear doors privacy glass.

Current WA laws state ALL windows a maximum of 35% YET the above car passes ADR.

Essentially, any tint film (even 95% transmission) on top of any privacy glass will make it illegal. No greater than 35% on the fronts.

I seriously have no idea how this is policed as I can tell you that a Liberty with 35% on top of the 19% privacy glass looks lighter than the privacy glass only on any current Evo.

My vote is for Jemahl (Current Trenz). Never used TKO but have only heard good things.
