I would expect that as a polish, a wax would preform shit. Since they are two different things.

there are a number of people around that do this, one of them has already been mentioned in this thread and there are a couple that advertise themselves on the forum. You've been here 3 years now you should know how to search

I was given this same advice yesterday by BBK - wet wheels, spray, rinse off with hose - that easy apparently. Will give it a try in lieu of the Autoglym product I've been using previously.

What most are forgetting with meguiar's like any polish / wax is if you are planning on using a 1 step polish / wax, it's going to be crap... Meguiar's have out their 3 step polish / wax for those that are serious on polishing their cars... And as far as hard to do... took me 4 hours to do two of the three step polishes on mine with meguiar's, and it came up spotless... Having said that, i am an ex car detailer and do know of better industrial products that those that arn't in the industry have no chance of getting. Each to their own far as polish, also depends on prep of paintwork, age of paintwork and amount of elbow grease you're prepared to put into it. Far as buffing cars... when i was working at shacks ended up using nufinish as a buff polish on an old falcon, brought it up like new, but not something i'd suggest Nice thread though.

For oxidised paints i've been playing with TR-3 polish, seems pretty popular in the US.
Tested some on my son's car For the really oxidised areas it makes a big short term solution but I think the really bad areas i'll need to hit with a propper cutting compound. |

Ifyou are serious about making your car look really good , my advice would be to search on detailing forums and not car forums for an informed oppinion. Unfortunately car forums are full of people who don't actually know the difference between a good and a bad product. The fact that in this thread alone waxes, sealants and cutting componds have all been referred to as "polish" proves my Point.
Also you need to take into consideration differences in expectations. What one person says looks awesome someone else could think it looks pants. |

wouldn't recommend any other type of hsv/holden stuff but! anyone recommend stuff I can get dust off?? After I was my car, the next day there is just dust n shit everywhere! I tried water then wiping but it just spreads the dust.. |

Sounds like the HSV stuff is just Sontax wheel cleaner or same stuff as the sontax turns a shade of pink/red aswell.
