Default Rotors repair

Done a search on rusty rotors not much came up but I would like to clean up some dba's before I replace mine. So was goin to buy a hi temp primer paint but need a few tips on what I could use to clean the surface up bit better than penetrene any help would be great

Penetrene WILL catch fire.

Wire brush & scotch pad ftw.

Haha yeah I realise that I was talking prep work before I paint them, Can of electrical solvent will remove any risidue left from the penetrene or crc.

Just interested to see if others have any other techniques.

Haha oh electrical solvent is also very flameable!!! Would not recommend to do this on a car, these are spares I have and will be leaving to dry before painting and washed after job is complete

i use brake cleaner & a wire brush, then paint away
