im planning to slice via vampire clips the wires to my apexi vacuum sensor as the one supplied looks cr4p and flimsy lol for a more accurate reading. as for the temp gauges they seem on the spot! im not sure about the oil pressure sensor
Instead of the yellow going to illumination, connect it to accessories.

Mine is a My98 wrx and i dont have the luxury of a clock in the dash (its in my cluster ) so ill be looming my power (red) to my water intercooler constant 12+volt straight from the battery, but i believe the yellow is the (illumination), white (ignition) black is obvious. so ill wire up my yellow radio illumination wire, black to my radio grounding wire. not sure where to get my ignition from? maybe my turbo timer?

All the wires you require will also be on the back of the deck

So installed mine tonight, well tried!! I have power to them all. I have noticed a few things:

- they turn on all together red then go white, blue when lights are on ?? Can I get the red all the time??

- tried to do boost, but isn't reading anything? Looks like I have it all correct.

- my clock has only got four wires, not six, so had to play around a bit.

- when I turn off they don't all go off together? Boost is a lot slower

- how do turn warning off, it's annoying!!!

Would love to get some help if any one is willing to have a quick look over!!

Cheers

Tony

This is causing you guys more trouble than its worth?

Sorry IMO should have bought the real thing took me about 15min to install the wiring the gauges boost/oil temp and about 15mins to install the sensors inc the sandwich plate and another 10mins to make all the wiring neat.
They had this crimping thing that came with it and helped a lot no need to splice any wires.
Will take a pic of mine when I get home

Not sure about the clock wires, as I said earlier I haven't investigated that yet and I was looking at the wiring diagram for the Subie I found in another thread. The dash pod is is town now, just have to pick it up from the courier.

To cancel the noise/buzzer, you simply power up the gauge and wait until the opening ceremony is complete. Now hold the setting button on the back for 5 seconds until the blue Peak light starts flashing, at this point quickly release the button and the Peak light should flash 3 times. Now power down the gauge and power back up, if the gauge powers up without any beeping you have successfully turned it off. This button is also used to set the alarm point.

If you have no indication on the boost gauge, I would check the signal pair of wires are connected, if there is no signal then the gauge doesn't read, check the plug connection, the black wire is to the car body/-12, the red wire of the two goes to the white wire on the vacuum sensor, and the vacuum sensor also has +12V to the red wire (of the 3 wires on the vacuum sensor) and the black wire goes to the car body -12V

The gauge colours are a combination of the red, white and yellow gauge power wires, have a bit of a play with the combination of the white and yellow wires, eg match colours, change so its white to yellow and vise versa, disconnect each one. (It should be in that table on the right of the instructions, here orange = yellow)

For the price of one real defi you could buy 2 full sets of these, and change.
