Default Rim Query

Hey guys,

I know initially this isnt possible but is there any way of fitting 05-06 STi rims to a GC8? If so, is it a major job?

Cheers for feedback,

Aron

Can and has been done but it involves a full hub swap to '05+ STI parts, so it's not exactly the cheapest option. Might as well do a Brembo upgrade while you're there if you haven't done so already (which adds further $$$ to the project).

I have heard about bolt-on stud pattern converters but from what I've heard it's best to steer clear of those.

EDIT: If you don't want to do this you can get 2004 STI wheels which have the 5x100 PCD and same style as the '05-'06, only issue is they're expensive as due to the fact this is the only year bracket with that PCD and that style.

cheers for your reply man!
i originally was chasing (still am) 02-04 sti rims but probably got more chances of finding a needle in a hay stack so thought maybe 06 would be an option. any idea roughly how much im looking for hug swap?

I'm just about ready to do the 114.3 hub swap into my RS Liberty (pretty much same as gc8). Total cost of parts so far incl wheels and tyres and wider track width control arms front and rear is around $5000.

I still need to paint my wheels and then its all ready for fitting.

EDIT:

This is the break down or parts and costs for the 114.3 conversion into my car...

All prices include shipping and taxes:

Front 114.3 hubs: $430
Front Shafts (new): $300
Front Arms (GDB): $190
Front HSD coilover hub brackets to suit 114.3 Front Hubs: $100
Rear R180 114.3 hubs: $700
Rear Arms (new adjustable): $700
Rear Shafts: $400
Full set of Slotted Brake rotors: $730
2006 STI wheels with 90% R-comps: $1200
New Whiteline RCK - tie rod ends and hub ball joints: $250

$5000 total and it hasnt even been fitted yet.

Looking at that I'd say go the '02 STI rims or even try your luck at getting the '04 BBS 5x100 STI rims. Will be much cheaper for the same end result.
