My glass is badged in the corner with surbaru. My windscreen on the other hand has a generic name badged in the corner

Hi I have a my07 WRX and it has factory privacy glass on the rear and rear sides

According to the Redbook listing for a 2006 MY07 WRX Sedan part of the standard equipment on the car was
"Factory Tinted Windows - 2 Doors".

There is no item listed in the standard or optional equipment that is quoted as "Privacy Glass".

from memory, the 07 came with privacy glass.... not sure about 06... shiiiit!

October, November, December 06 will be MY07

Both my 06 and 07 ADM WRX's came with factory privacy glass on the rears, my 07 came from over east and subsequently went over the pits here to license it.

I was told it wouldn't pass with the tint on the rears, so I pointed out that It's actually factory privacy glass to which they tried to find the tint edge to prove me wrong.

After 5mins they said "it certainly is dark but if It's from the factory its ok", same happened with the 204.

yeh my 07 wrx rear windows are noticeably darker than the fronts, but they dont have any tinting on them.

Did you have to provide any form of evidence or they just accepted that it is factory privacy glass ?

I mean they would be stupid to assume someone has taken out factory clear glass only to replace it with privacy windows i would have thought but i have to somehow get the inspection place to understand that it is a factory option and although its less than 35% that it is infact a factory item and therefor they can't defect it !
