Tony seems like a helpful young man with little to no common sense.

I tinted the front windscreen on my xtrail. Only with a uv tint, no darkening. BEST thing i ever did! Interior temps in summer was so good! Absolutely awesome!!!

Is it legal to tint all windows to 20% but drive with them down all the time and only wind them up when doing photoshoots for stancenation?

That's what I was thinking of doing because of WA's wonderful Summer heat, but everyone has said you can only tint the top 100mm of the windscreen.

EDIT: I just called Tint a Car and was told that UV tinting is also illegal. only the top 100mm visor strip is legal.

I'm not sure about other models but my '99 has a 'factory' tinted windscreen. Both the original one, and the replacement after a foot cracked it.

i would say the chances of getting pinged for clear uv tint on the front windscreen is low. It is clear after all!

BUT, it would be alot of cash down the drain if you have to rip it off. I think it is going to be a few hundgy to get done.

Meh as if they are gonna see clear tint. Makes such a massive difference to heat though!

Yeah plus Insurance would probably be scumbags about it if something happened, apparently tinting a windscreen can weaken it under pressure, not sure how.
