Possibly applying too much clear coat at once. It drys, stretches, and cracks.

Sand it back, spray again but a veerrrrry thin coat. You dont want to achieve a thick cover on the first spray.

360 sounds hellish coarse to start with, I read somewhere it was 1000, 1500, 2000 then polish, oh well too late now.

Got it mostly sanded back, I did a little bit of research and it is stretching also because the lense is off the car and the headlight itself, so when it's laying flat, the clear wants to run to the lowest point, which is down, so tomorrow after Tafe ( or during of the lecturer permits) I'll give it another go...

Side note, got the bottom half of the Sti wing painted and cleared, then ran out of paint... Next week, hopefully get the top half done!!

Yep, just through trial and error I got the inside of the lens looking pretty Schmick, just a small amount of cracking around the park light bulge, outside is still very ordinary, giving it another go tomorrow, if not then will have to wait until the weekend, I'm very determined to get it to work, but I would just like to give a quick shoutout to anyone who has a spare stock LH light, if I haven't got mine done by tomorrow would I be able to borrow theirs until the weekend? I know it's extremely short notice and I don't know anyone on here, it would be greatly appreciated since mine is a daily!

Cheers guys

Lol this is great. Please include pictures of painting a wing half a side at a time for extra viewing pleasure.
