Dan,
There is a method that involves pressing all 4 buttons and the original GC controllers are shaped so it is awkward to do it. I am up in Currambine and work in West Perth (although wont be in the office until Monday now). If you want me to take a look at it I will. No charge just give me the console and controller for couple of days and I'll see what I can do. Ian |

Might not be the chip then
the drive may have shit itself or maybe the cables arent connected properly pull it apart and try reconecting the cables also try removing the chip and see if it works note it can be tested with out reassembling the case I have done a system upgrade with drivekey chip and homebrew with USB loader and it works fine |

I dont see why people are still using modchips when the gator loader is free, easy to install and doesnt void your warranty? you dont even need to pick up a screwdriver!!

Its an easy and safe option for those not willing to risk bricking there Wii
doesnt gator loader require the cIOS to be modified ? Last edited by Rexy03; 19-09-2009 at 03:15 PM. |

Yeh its just an update, its seriously as simple as installing 2 things and then putting your disk in. I've done heaps of them and never heard of any getting bricked. however stripping you console apart and soldering away with chips seems that cost over $100 seems to be bricking alot more wiis?
Just saying Free and easy install that doesn't void warranty or $100+ install that require time and effort and is easy to mess up. I know what i would choose. |

this chip is just plug and play to a ribbon cable, so can be removed as easy as it went in.
