Who takes games to other peoples places to play anymore? That's the point of playing online, no half screen crap. I've never owned a Playstation so I can't comment on it at all.

EDIT: Also just read that that Larry Hryb or 'Major Nelson' has been quoted saying you can take it to someone's house and log into your own live account, seeing its on Cloud, and play anyway.

Umm, quite a few people....nothing beats having a few boys over and playing a few rounds of Mortal Kombat, NBA Jam, NHL or FIFA while smashing back some beers before heading on a night out with the boys.

Though if what you said is true (about being able to sign into your xbox live account and play) that partially fixes the issue, and I'm happy with that

Just pre ordered mine with cod and forza 5 hopefully the fact I can get them with it at release is a sign of a November release

I like how the xbox button in the new controller has been moved up. This will prevent me from accidentally hitting it. The frustration of hitting that home button whilst trying to beat Shao Kahn in Mortal Kombat using the D pad .

Force feedback on the triggers is a plus also.

Trying to do some research but unfortunately work likes to block all non work related videogame sites/forums.

Has anyone tried to play movies/tv shows that are on an external hard drive plugged into the xbox one yet? I was under the impression that this feature wasnt available at launch but there may have been an update to rectify the issue?

Only asking as i am intending to get my xbox one very shortly and the ability to do so should help with my current theatre room audio setup.

No unfortunately neither Xbox One nor PlayStation 4 have this capability yet. Although updates are planned as you stated for inclusion of this feature for both systems respectively in the future. (No ETA)
