i know as far as BANG FOR YOUR BUCK value's concern, the STIs are right up there, but some luxury items such as Defi cluster, boost & temp gauges, Sat Nav, sun roof, side airbags, CF and leather bits & pieces as standards would go a long way in attracting buyers (especially ppl going through mid life crises). even if they offer them as options at a reasonable price (cheaper than buying aftermarket), then i for one would definitely spend the extra dole - speaking from someone who drives it as a daily car and rarely goes to the track of course
The current Liberty has no headlight washer, the new Forester (XT spec and up) has headlight washers with HID's. They are not going to just add headlight washers for no reason if they are not fitted to JDM spec Subaru's.

Lets go back 4 years and subaru wasnt exactly leading the customer service stakes.....they've learnt (to an extent anyway) prior/after sales service and backup goes ALONG way vs resting on a product's laurels.

just called skippers who say they wont have an Evo IX for "quite some time".
he wouldn't answer my question of when they would have one in, but he assured me - repeatedly - that they have a VIII, and he could "save me alot of money".
thanks, but no thanks...

When I worked at toyota head office and also when I sold cars at honda, you would often hear of sales people selling cars the day before I knew a new model announcement was being made to the public. The dealers already knew. Not good for customer satisfaction but some dealers just wanted to make sales targets and didnt give a rats ass.

Uhhh hu, and that's why the Evo community are pissed of at Mitsu about the VIIIs and IX's marketing. There was an VIII sold yesterday in Vic for $70k+ onroad, while it's actually cheaper for a IX when they finally land.

They have such a great product and it should sell itself, but they are actually killing their own sales due to simple lack of passion and love.
