Hmm thats very interesting... when my Dad rang them for a quote they wouldnt even touch the car... they hadn't even found out my age yet!

Depending on how this all turns out... may have to do the ring around again to find a different insurer.

Lol wish i could get those tuned by sti rims... but I'll have to get the standard ones back. Hoping that i'll be able to claim 5... since the original damage i was claiming for one new tyre and rim... and now that all 4 have been stolen, I should be able to claim another 4 IMO anyway.

Yeah exactly what i reckon.

From an Insurers point of view though, They will just claim that it was an incident which happened at a strange time .. They could have been stolen from anywhere at any time, either way, you'd make the claim.

You'd think they would have some leaniancy though .. Fuckers.

Give the Insurance Ombudsman a ring, its a 1300 number *thinks* 1300 XXX 808, can't remember the middle one i'll try find it for you, but basically they look after all insurance companies, give you free advise and can investigate the problem for you. I'd look at doing this. All insurance companies fall under this guy, they are extreamly helpfull

EDIT, 1300 780 808

Good luck megs

For all the stuffing around Just Cars are giving you I would be having a good talk to your claims manager and asking him if some sort of deal can be arranged in light of what has gone on.

If you don't want the same Rims and want the STi ones I would be asking for those, especially if they are a cheaper price.

Now is your chance for them to show you some "Goodwill" after sending your car to a dodgy workshop. Also mention that this little incident is making lots of waves in the Perth WRX Club and in all likelyhood any members insured with them are going to be changing policies.

MODERATORS READ PLEASE

Also I think it would be a very good idea that we start an Insurance Feedback forum under General WRX to document experiences with Insurance companies and Smash Repairers.
I know I had my fair share and this would be invaluable to other members.

ie:
Insurance Company:
Excess Paid:
Smash Repair:
Damage to WRX:
Feedback:
New parts: Yes/No
Rating: ?/10

holy shit batman!! sorry to hear about your car and the wheels and_______. ill leave that bit blank... seriously tho do not pay one cent extra!! insurance company needs to sort out the issue with the workshop...it has nothin to do with you what so ever. id have to agree tho that the words a current affair can pretty much sort anything out and fast.

hope it turns out ok for you..tuned by sti rims are pure porn....and i think ill be changing out of just car insurance very very shorty....
