mate test all 3, and have some fun doing it !!!!

I was in a similar situation almost 2 years ago, was thinking of trading the 350z for a 2nd hand M3 but somehow after lots of consideration I ended up taking the financially 'smart' and responsible option of buying a typhoon for half the price and pumping more cash into my house and investments etc.. still not sure how i made that decision cause about twice a week my neighbours sons M3 is out the front and its faarrrken hot as !!!

he's got an 05 M3 Competition which from what i can gather is basically a CSL minus the CF roof and + some interior options??? either way it seems to have everything - the SMG box, satnav, electric nappa seats, alcantera wheel, harmon Kardon audio + other options i cant remember and its farken nice as !!!
I'd never have thought an 'auto' box could shift as hard but then again, its not a normal slusher..
We went for a very long drive, spent a decent amount of time in sport mode and it really does make a huge difference to the performance, especially the throttle responsiveness..

I would say his car would quite easily perform better than my old Z in any straight line or track situation, but would probably not quite keep up with my typhoon in any sort of straight line or roll-on scenarios based on my seat of the pants meter... Trackwise of course the M3 would own the F6 easily

same as this...

I wouldn't mind seeing that. Drop $100K on the STI and give WAI some competition.

Otherwise, with $100K you should be able to get away with a second hand Porsche 911 Carrera 4.

depends what you want from the car...

Mad performace, mod the rex or consider an R34 GTR and mod that...

Glamour: Get the M3...you will spew the first time you have to pass a truck or something thats spitting sand and rocks all over the place, or when some clown keys it or dings the doors, food, dirt inside.....

I don't know, I love the M3 but I think I'd want to keep it in such good condition, every little bit of damage would piss me off...

As someone has hinted, the M3 is a Western Suburbs tart, nice to look at, fun too but hard to keep happy... the worked sti, an 18yo hottie keen to impress.......the worked R34 GTR, 30yo career woman, likes cardio, pilates and porn... where it's all about you, you you. : )

Cheers for the feedback all!!

To be honest, the RS4 is the car that takes my fancy as it's AWD and V8, and since I love Rex's/Evo's (AWD) and HSV/FPV's (V8), the RS4 would be the best of both worlds.

I know they're $160k new, but most cars value is about 65% after 3 years. So that would make an RS4 about $104k. This would be spot on for me.

A bonus would be the 4drs too.

I saw a review on 5th gear between the RS4 and the M3 and the RS4 won hands down except in one area - drifting. I think I can handle that

Cheers
Zombee

Audi RS4 for the win.

1. The V8 exhaust note - 8250 RPM Limit
2. The pure porn interior
3. AWD
4. The exclusivity
