I have been on here since 03 at some stage from my calculations, and I have to agree that things have definitely evolved over the past few years!

I too was a GC8 owner with a TBE, Front Mount and Link ECU thinking that it was the best way to build a nice alround street car, which I guess it still is now, it was just "the norm" back then!

I am by no means as "old school" as a lot of members on here, but I agree that the group age average has definitely dropped considerably, although the group has grown much bigger!

p.s - bring on MV08!

yeah, ten years ago or so when they started, the gc8 would of been the only thing around and alot more expensive beign so new, now with the gc8s ageing and 94s can be had for as low as 11k and 97/98s for 14-15 and even the best 99/00 going below 20k, they are becoming affordable for ur average p plate 17/18yr old hoon, like it has been sed before on the forums, "the new s13" haha. That explains the decrease in age average, also is partly the reason im selling off mine and going for the newer 02/03... and coz i want an STi model

I could not agree more. The thing that scares me is that a lot of these kids live on milk and bread to buy the car and then can not afford to maintain the thing properly. Then when something breaks they whinge that the car was not designed properly or when they get a yellow for bald tyres etc they bad mouth the police. I am not saying the police are blameless for a second but you do have to sympathise with them somewhat.

What worries me is when some 17yr kid can buy a wrx for 10k with 200k+ kms on it. It is a recipe for disaster. As we all know these things are a little fragile if they are not maintained properly.

GC parts are becoming harder and harder to get hold of aswell which will continue to make it interesting. Also the amount of aftermarket parts of varying quality will continue to create surprises.
