I still see Justy around in West Perth occasionally - he lost interest after the gearbox/diff mis-match episode (or was there something else that I'm unaware of?)

I remember fondly the days in 2004/05 when I was writing 'Modifying a GT Forester doco' and hanging out with Quigebo (Dave) with his green GT (still hang out with him but not in the Foz any more - he's a family man these days). Also the dyno comps with my GT, Daves and LIL KIP going head to head!

Still have my GC8, that's for sale, but its looking more likely I'll mothball it soon and re-awaken it when my unborn child (expected Oct 07) is old enough to help me restore it!

yeah i heard dan was working abroad about 2yrs ago but then lost touch.. Justys got a M3 last i heard...

Richard Gaze was the person who actually started "perth-wrx" on the yahoo network.

Perth-WRX is affectionely called pdiddy by its life members.
HEHEHA I started WRXCHAT before P-diddy existed and it ran for a year or 2 before REXNET existed. It had ~600 members at its height before I swapped to an S2000 and left for a while. I think I left it with ramon as admin.

Attached is the pic of my arrival at pwrx.

Ramon is right though, I was one of the first few to congregate out the back of the jaguar meetings. I remember going for "Tuning" laps around ozzbourne park between the stop streets in the silver bullet. Duke ting also had a really nice rex back then and phil smart with his "Other income" had a 2 door i think with the most money spent.

I was only 18 when I pitched up at the meetings so a lot of the other wrx owneres were too old to relate too. They didn't want to drive fast. Cruises were boring and they hated when anyone would gun it and pass the whole cruise.

Funniest cruise moment back in the OLD days was when I was getting over excited on the UHF radio about having "pigs" in the fundraising cruise we were on. Then this voice says "We have radios too polarbear"

By the way thats me on the right with the blue jacket
