I saw a few people around 40 looking at the wrx and taking it for a drive so yes, different market now and probably 10x more sales since people that age have more money

yeap true, but in my opinion, should of started a new line of car/model if they wanted to do that

and kept makin wrx's like the always have been, the form they used to be in appealed to both young and old as it was anyway. Always see heaps of older people driving round as well as young, older people just ddint really mod em to much.

I actually don't mind it at all...it really fits the market, and I do believe the STi will differentiate and appeal to a younger, more "hard edge" market.

Checked the 08 out at Bunbury Subaru. It nicer in the flesh than the pics

I recon Subaru are looking for volume sales of the WRX to keep the bank balance happy and will then keep us lot happy with the STI and hopefully various options within the STI range i.e RA maybe Salesman recons we are getting the sedan in 12 months. Anyone else heard similar claims ??
Hopefully the 08 will see the return of Subaru Rally Team to the ARC as well

Surely those "professional, mature" people would be looking at things like Audi's, BMW's and libertys though??
