Speaking of Subaru Wangara. Today i went and got some stuff for mine and dads WRX"s and Tom the service guy was genuinely helpful and seemed to enjoy working with Subi's

the guy said there was 3.5L of oil in the engine including the 1L i put in...... and then he added 1.1L and it was full at 4.6... he then drained it all and put a fresh fillter and oil in.... 3.5L in the engine and the dipstick is bone dry doesnt sound right to me
but yeah got a nice letter which will be getting delivered on wednesday
Empty to full on the dipstick is about 500ml, so I reckon you'd need at least 3.8 litres to register anything at all on the dipstick. 4L would mean it reads "low" and 4.5L would read full.

my confidence level with them isnt particularly high at the moment...
is there meant to be a whine @ 100????
This is frankly shithouse service. I hope you put the fear of god up them in your letter.
I would demand a full independant inspection done on the car now by a specialist Subi workshop listed on here in the forums. Compression test and all. Any problems picked up then Subi Oz Park should be paying for.

They obviously have not done a proper pre-sale inspection and quickly shoved the car out the door to an unsuspecting buyer.
Have a look at used vehicle warrenties here:

Have a look at the compliance plate - Pop your hood and its rivited onto the body on the right hand side (facing the front of the car) i believe.

Angry

My friend just bought a new Forester at Ozzy Park for his wife. Wife rocks up to pick it up and a) the finance paperwork was wrong - they were saying to her 'just sign it' , it'll work out the same monthly repayment (bullshit) lucky she's a Chartered Accountant and could figure out the fine print. then b) the car had a dent in it - she spots it and says 'hey, there's a dent in it!' response ' oh, you must have very good eyes to spot that, I can't see a dent there'. Sure enough dented though, and they have to get it fixed before she'll take delivery (it was minor - one of the hammer out type that you can't see once fixed).

When she gets home she gets a call from the sales manager begging 'please don't say anything bad on your feedback form to the dealership about the finance stuff up - the finance guys are really worried that they are going to get in the shit'. Like she cares.....told him and then wrote exactly what she thought on the form!

I would be doing more than just writing back feedback to the dealership.
It would be letters to Subaru Australia, Consumer Affairs and the MTA.

Fucking pathetic customer service. Someone deserves the sack for incompetance!!!!!

I have done this in the past when Total Subaru in Cannington was selling Subaru's.
Ended up with the Service Manager no longer employed when I finally had to go back to the dealership shortly after a nasty incident.

Berrjona, make sure you also ring up Subaru Oz and send a copy of the letter into them also.

Ossie park are a bunch of ass clowns when it comes to parts, pretty much got snobbed off when I went there for something small. Was told something to the effect of

"we dont waste our time with stuff like that, go see regents"

Thank goodness Sean from Allstars uncle works there and is an absolute champion.
