Tino, I guess what you mean to say was the sortblack and that head are both damaged? I would call chunks of the head missing as damaged....

The head may be repairable if your willing to TIG in some filler and have it machined, though I'm not sure if thats a very good idea? I dare say that case is fucked though?

Any ideas as to why it happened? Streched studs?

weLl I found out today that there only 11mm arp studs when I was told from the guy I bought the engine off they were 14mms. There is two marks on either side of the bore which suggests the head lifted off round that area to cause the damage.

Hopefully not one of the more respected guys on Rexnet in QLD? Are you going to see it through to the end? The engine repair? (Just noting you said your limit has been reached. Wasnt sure if you meant financially, motivationally, etc). I just ask, cos its almost there...

Yes that fken engine i first bought is still haunting me even now... fken kunt... I love pissing my hard earned money down the drain.. fken kunt...

Hey Tino,

Unfortunatley i know the feeling of recieveing goods you paid for and not quite getting what you were told. Its a really average feeling and from the look at those valves......sad times!

Sad to see Tino. This had the potential to be one of the best. Still does but I can feel your pain right now.

Live and learn, hopefully others can do things better now that you have laid some groundwork.
