I think doing the Porsche style door pulls in black nylon webbing would suit.
This is on an MX-5 and uses the standard pull mechanism.
You don't need an extra spring as there is one in the door latch.

Yeh I've seen that. I've worked out something here's a progress pic., Completely functional. I have the panel control for central locking whilst I'm in the car..

Just need to finish off the carbon blanking plate and hole for the strap to go through..
