So I figured id finish off some things that i have got around to doing...

Custom door strap:

I currently wind down my windows to pull the door in due to the removal of that with the carbon.

I was originally going to just attach a strap and leave the handle to use opening of the door but i figure i might try and simply the mechanism and use the pull strap to pull the door in and unlock the door..

What i need to make it work is a spring mechanism to pull the strap back once its been pulled. Does anyone have an idea how i can incorporate that into the housing?

I need some sort of spring and then something to attach the strap to.

why didn't you just get a handle moulded into the carbon? you could just cut a hole in it & use a 32R one

will look way better than a bit of strap imho

Or as above, cut a hole any shape that suits then get a piece of vacuum hose or similar, cut it length wise and stick it over the sharp edge, basically a large grommet.

You could use the original rod coming from the door mechanism or make a new rod, just find a way of attaching it to a separate hole/slot with the rod attached from underneath the carbon fibre or the side with a rubber cap on it so you can pull it to open the door.

"Roll Racing Perth" on Facebook if you just wanna drag people at Barbs (go up against Brockas in his Gallardo). It's on Saturday night.
or Infinite Time Attack is essentially the now-extinct No Limits nights (Thursday about once a month).
WRX Club will have a night at Barbs on a Friday in a few months' time too with Driver training.. bring the rex out if you still have doors :P
