Exclamation PLAY3R-round 2!

After spending alot of time and money and having nothing but bad luck with getting engines built and tuned for my rexy which has been devastating for me cause i missed out on motorvation last year and a few other events i wanted to enter. Almost ended up selling the car cause i was over the whole 'bad luck thing' but in the end i just couldnt do it!!! After having the car just sitting in the garage doing nothing but gather dust for the past year i have decided to have another crack at it!!!And this time to do it right the first time by the experts!!! Has taking alot of hardcore saving and overtime at work to get all the money needed, Early January next year PLAY3R gets transported over to Sydney to a familiar name 'Rigoli Racing' to get turned into a beast that'll probably get stickered the first time a copper lays eyes on it lol!! if he can catch me that is hehe

that just sounds off the planet! i love it!

i wish u all the best dood and please keep bumping this thread with any news as it comes hot off the press.

even im interested in this one!

im gonna put my been there done that hat on for a second so take it as gospel or rantings of a lunatic, warning, read on at own discretion:

with a dry-sump setup i would be very anxious with running the sump tank in the engine bay, likewise the fuel surge pot(s). for one thing the extra heat that's a given performance disadvantge, but you have a higher chance of doing damage to the front of your car in an accident (even a small one) than anywhere else on the car. no amount of fire fighting skill could save either you, your passengers or the car from burning to the ground. so be very very careful with placing large oil and fuel tanks anywhere in the engine bay.

if anything, i would try to get the rest of the car up to the engine's capabilities first rather than the other way round. this sounds like an amazing engine combo, don't go china spec with the rest of it though, if anything, put as much thought into the rest of it as you have the engine.....if you do, my god, what a wrx!!

rant mode off!

now get out there and enjoy the build!

sorry, should of given you an alternative instead of sounding all doom and gloom.

have both fuel and oil tanks in the boot closet to the suspension points as possible (arguably the strongest part of the car in a crash). no hard fittings that wont alllow flex under stress is a must, stops fittings cracking and causing a leak. run fuel lines inside the cabin and through the firewall as to minimize any chance of damage from road conditions. run oil lines only in alluminum tubing (no braid) once again, for safety purposes. have the fuel and oil pumps on a circuit breaker, at the sign of trouble quickly kill them off before adding more fuel (parden the pun) to the fire! the wiring harness should be a motorsport grade with aircraft wiring (faster signal from inputs to outputs with inbuilt safety devices to detect oil and fuel loss all hooked up via your motec. lastly, invest in a firebomb system with at least 2 nozzles inside the engine bay.

mega $$$ car's deserve mega $$$ engineering.

hope it helped!
