Really? I always thought these were. What are these then?
Was there different styles of rims released on 99's?

afaik that 5 spoke came on the 97-98 models, and the 6 spoke came on 99-00 models
the pre 97 models had a less attractive 5 spoke.

the rims on my car atm are from an earlier model; the 'stock' ones i took off it are silver 6 spoke, same with damo's car and my brother's ex-wrx

Ahhhhh I see.
Mine's a Nov 98 built MY99. That'd explain why mine had the 5 spokes pictured above.

I emailed the seller and they insist it is a 96 model. Sounds either a bit dodgy or the lady has no idea. The cluster appears to be 98 - 00 GX Impreza. I quite like the look of it minus the rice lights. Set of brembos and 02 STI rims painted white and I reckon it would be the shizz.

Thanks for the huge response guys. Much appreciated.

I know I have not yet replied to the people that PM'ed me..I have been mulling over my options. I have decided I am going to buy a cheap daily snotter and save cash up for something with B Reg, I think this is going to be a cheaper route to take and it makes more sense to have a car I dont NEED to use to get to work on Monday and worrying about that while I'm waiting for the green lights and the stopwatch to start!
