Does this look like a good car? Does anyone here know it?
Hey guys,
I'm looking to move my 06 WRX on and I am really interested in this car to replace it with: http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/private/details.aspx?R=7946863&__Qpb=true&Cr=8&__Ns=pCar_P riceSort_Decimal|1||pCar_RankSort_Int32|1||pCar_Ma ke_String|0||pCar_Model_String|0&keywords=&YearToS hort=1675&__N=1216%201247%201282%201252%201246%204 294963801%204294963800%20904%201675&silo=1011&__No =0&seot=1&__Nne=15&trecs=47&__sid=1254AF64F6B4 Is this car known to anyone on PWRX? What do you guys think of the price? It looks to have some high quality mods on it and the work has been done by a reputable workshop. |

Well I guess its okay but in my opinion its overweight and not raw enough and lacks a certain...something. The seats annoy me but I cant change them with the side impact airbags being built in. To be honest the year of manufacture is of no interest to me, its the driving experience I am seeking. I also enjoy trackdays so it would be nice to have something that costs less to replace in the event of a bit of an off! I was drawn to this model for being lighter and seemingly easier to modify and hopefully providing that raw driving experience. This particular car caught my eye for having the ECU, built gearbox and has already got half the handling mods I would want. |

looks like a good rex that one... throw some light weight Jap wheels on, some decent rubber and u got a good starting point... I would be looking at getting it cheaper tho... $17k max? It has reasonably low kms for an 00

Firstly good choice in car
Yep, looks the goods to me. and the PPG gearbox is a massive plus. if you assume the engine has had a tough life considering the gearbox has PPG gears (only an assumption), so factor in 4 grand into your budget for a 207 bottom end and you will be laughing. But tell him hes dreaming on the price... Maybe even consider an earlier model without airbags so you can modify the interior etc? but then your engine and standard gearbox are not as good from the factory.. Steve.
